Esk Hills is a 76 ha (188 acre) property with awesome 360º views from the higher points. The many and varied outlooks differ considerably in character. To the South and East lies the broad expanse of Hawke Bay stretching from Napier to Cape Kidnappers and from Portland Island to Tangoio Bluff.
To the North lie Esk Valley and the Te Pohue Forest, while grazing land rises towards the Kawekas and Titiokura ranges in the West and North. In the foreground are shorelines, vineyards, orchards, farm land and native bush.
Within Esk Hills are significant areas of native bush reserves with circular interconnecting walks for the enjoyment of the Residents.
All the sites have been chosen to maximize the views while making sure the building platforms are tucked away from the gaze of others.
