From making an offer to completion.
The process of purchasing property is fairly straight forward. First contact Logan Property or our agents with any outstanding questions. Secondly make that offer!
A Solicitor is not required for making an offer but for all purchasers, especially overseas buyers, we recommend that you instruct a local Solicitor at an early stage. Contact the New Zealand Law Society at http://www.nz-lawsoc.org.nz/ if you need advice.
A contract called “the sale and purchase agreement” is then exchanged for signing between the parties (see below for a draft copy relating to Esk Hills). On the signing of this a 10% deposit is paid to secure the property and it is at this point that the legal contract is made. Completion (known as Settlement) will then take place at an agreed future date.
